Diversity Careers Show Success
| 19 January 2010
The first ever Diversity Careers Show took place on Friday 20 November, proving to be a mammoth success. Around 70 employers from various industries including councils, banks, legal firms and the media took part.
Stonewall, Strudel and Interbank held workshops through out the day. Laura Doughty from Stonewall said: "It's been a resounding success with lots of positive feedback from recruiters and those attending."
Square Peg Media, who publish g3 and OUT in the City, organised the event, which attracted nearly 2,000 graduates and those looking for a new career, and were overwhelmed by the response. "It's really great to see so many companies supporting diversity in the workplace." explained Linda Riley, director of Square Peg Media. The Diversity Career Show's headline sponsor was Credit Suisse, in association with the Guardian and Stonwall.
